Thoughts on Animal Testing

I think all animals shouldn't be treated the same because they all need different needs. Also if you were to let a wild animal do the same as an insect people would be in serious danger. We shouldn't use animals to test certain medicine because it can harm the animals and it can also cause extinction because you would use a lot of animals. It is not okay to use other animals because they're home animals that have feelings too. It would be okay because saving lives would save the population of the world .

42 Reflection .

     Discrimination is having colored people know that they are not allowed in places because of there color. its not being able to go to the same school as whites, not being able to go to the restaurants  or bathrooms. discrimination was very difficult to deal with because it also brought colored people down. its very harsh ,mean, unfair , and brutal. It is also getting called names and being threatened, it was very dangerous because of your color you never know when you last day. discrimination is not how it is now it was very bad back then. discrimination is not about color it can be any differences from other people
      An example is Donald Trump , he discriminates people by their color. Trump dislikes immigrants and he thinks they should not be allowed in America. He is trying to persuade people to be on his side and he's trying to kick out immigrants from america because he dislikes them.What he says about immigrants is very irrelevant because not all immigrants are bad people, a lot of them are here to help make America great and equal.  discrimination is mostly being judged by your looks not on who you really are.

When is dignity in silence ?

 The time when my little sister started bragging about something she got and i didn't ,i wanted to tell her to be quiet but then i would get in trouble. At that time i just had kept my mouth shut because if i made her cry by telling her to be quiet i would be the one getting in trouble.All i did at that point was say cool and walked away and she then started crying because i didn't give her my attention but my mom got mad at my little sister because she was the one that started everything and i dint do anything but say "cool." So being silence is the best thing to do because the other person feels bad because they didn't get your attention.

Blog #13 : Games Survival

     Why do you think certain items were ranked differently think some of were ranked high ?

because sometimes you actually need those items on the side you picked.

Why did you change your minds about the rankings?    because it had a good reason on why we needed them and how its going to help us survive

Did your team work together well enough to survive the Hunger Games? Explain. 
i think we did because we picked important items to survive and very reasonable items

How did you overcome conflict and disagreements? 
we got through it because we listened and thought about each other perspective .

What would you improve on the next time to increase your chance of survival? 
i would improve on thinking through on what i choose and actually thinking if i will survive or not

Post #10 : what is love ?

  I think Katniss and peeta have a  weird relationship because they are always confused on what to do. although once they had that kiss katniss really got into peeta because peeta was telling her about since he liked her and he was telling her why and how he liked her. once she starts working with him in the games together they realize there is only one winner so she's willing to give her life up for peeta and he doesn't want that so he does the same so they both decide to kill each other but then the game makers decide to have them both win and they were both really happy that they got to live. i think that the relationship between them will get closer and closer when they get back to the capitol

Blog #11: Thinking....

             The most interesting part of the hunger games is when prim got elected to be in the games but then Katniss had volunteered as tribute for her. another interesting part was when Katniss and Peeta were in that cave and they had got really deep in their conversations and then they had kissed and that was the part when they got really close and decided to fight together. The last interesting part was when Katniss and Peeta finally got up the horn and Cato was thee and Cato was going to kill Peeta. The interesting part in my book is when he comes out to be his real self as in saying he's transgender. when he's at school everyone thinks he's just a normal kid.

      The parts in the hunger games that bother me is that they all have to fight for their lives and its just a messed up society that cant be fair. Everyone in each district is poor and they starve to death and its bad enough they still have to enter the games and fight for their lives. It also bothered me when they killed rue because she was such a nice little girl and she did nothing to deserve this and the capitol thinks this whole event is okay and its not dangerous when it really is.
   the part in my book that bothers me is that they tease the kid because of who he truly is. and it bothers me of what his mom is doing

blog #9 : survival

          What survival means to me is living through out these dangerous streets. it means having food to eat everyday.


       In the story survival means trying not to die in the games and staying safe. it also means having meals in the districts while there very poor 

Blog#8 : lying

 
         Lying is not always wrong but it mostly is because you always have to tell the truth even if its going t hurt someone. but its worse to hide something very important from someone because then you will have them looking dumb if they don't know the truth. some times lying to someone can turn into turning you back from them or you loosing because sometimes they'll figure that something is wrong and then it will turn into a big argument.


          It can be okay to lie to someone but the lie has to be very minor for it wont be a big deal with the truth come out later in time. it maybe okay lying to someone to make them feel better.



         I see lying in the hunger games because in the beginning katniss told prim that she will win but she's not for sure if she will and katniss made it seem that she will win and she knows. The capitol lies and says its not a dangerous game and they make it seem like its a good event happeneing.

Blog #7 : HG Chapter 15-16 reflection.

                                  How did the two chapters make you feel?
                   Were you shocked on how and what happened ?


     the two chapters made me feel anxious on whats going to happen next because so many things happened in those twos chapters. Katniss whats to figure out whats going to happen to Rue because there can only be one winner in the games but katniss doesn't want Rue to die because Katniss cares a lot for Rue. Also Katniss wants to find out what Peetas plan is and is he really saving her or is it a plan he talked about with Haymitch. Katniss has doubts on peeta but then at the same time she doesnt because she kind of believes that he is trying to save her but then she thinks its all part of a plan. I want to know whats really going to happen and the truth of everything about how is Rue going to die and if shes going to die,  or the truth about peeta, whats going to happen.



         i was shocked on what happened to Katniss with the food because when she saw fox face doing all those tricks she was cluless why she was hoping like that to get the apples so when fox face ran off, katniss went to go try  to get some food so when she did it blew up and i want to know if she died. in my persective i dont think she died because she probably dodged one of the bombs.

How is the setting important to the plot of the story?

  

The setting is important to the plot in the story because its shows what the hunger games is what how it takes place.

       

How would this be different if the story was told using a completely different setting?

      Because she can maybe not find the equipment and if it was in the desert she can die of thirst.

Blog 5: Dear President Snow

               Dear president snow, what I think about your hunger games is that its very immature and foolish. There’s no point to the whole event. It is very unsafe for all the tributes and It’s just killing a lot of people and lowering the population. Killing people isn’t going to take you anywhere in life its just going to label you as a bad person, Also it isn’t care to the capitol that they don’t have to compete against the districts. Its very unfair to the families that have to deal with their son or daughter getting killed, I think you need to have empathy in them. Taking someone’s life away isn’t going to cure anything and its very unfair.

Blog #4- Katniss

My impression of Katniss is she’s a very strong person and she is very outspoken. She mostly goes on with her life because of her sister because if she ran away she’s afraid that her mother will leave to and leave prim behind and leave her starving. Katniss has strong character traits, she’s independent because no one can tell her what to think or do she goes by her own rules because like in the book she breaks the rules and goes out hunting for food for her family or to sell. Katniss is also responsible and she has a lot of priorities because she takes very good care of her family and she needs to go hunting to serve them food. She is also very high mined because she knows what is right from wrong and she know how to do things without big trouble.

Blog 3- fashion

The outfits we wear backs us look confident and strong.it also says that fire equals pain and death so fire is like the games having to fight through it because if you were to get caught on fire you would have to fight to get out of it.  Makes the district look good and it can gain them a lot of sponsors on how great they look. The people taking that our district is something that can make fire like coal and many more materials. It also explains that all back can represent something sad because district 12 is very poor and it makes people sad because they have to starve. It’s has so much power in peoples minds because what you wear can put a whole perspective on your personality. The motivation is what you wear because if you’re a girl on fire you get that feeling that you can fight through heat and cold.  You could also get motivated by your sponsors because the more you get the more stuff you have to fight more for the games. Society tells us what clothes mean because if you wear all rainbows and colorful clothing you must be a bright person. But sometimes you can be wrong about someone’s clothing because maybe there a very sad person and they get forced to wear bright and colorful clothes.

blog #2 perspective

I think to myself that I know I’m going to get picked in the reaping, wasn’t full of fear as much. I just think a whole lot about if katniss will get picked, that’s my biggest fear. I would hate to see katniss fight for her life and imagine hearing news about she’s not alive anymore but sometimes I don’t think that negative I think she will win because of her arrow skills, the way she kills out there in those woods. I’m always amazed because she can kill squirrel, birds, and even deer.

Its reaping day, the day where someone has to fight for his or her lives. Everyone goes in boy and girl order. Here comes Effie, she’s about to pick a girl and a boy to compete in the hunger games. She’s about to call a girls name and I waited and all I hear on the speakers is prim Everdeen and I look at katniss to see her reaction. Prim walks over and all I see is katniss running to the aisle and I run too but katniss volunteers I was so scared for her but I didn’t want to show it because I wanted to show that I was a strong person and if I show that I was being strong it would give her confidence. Prim runs to katniss but katniss pushes prim towards me to take care of her so I grab prim and make sure she’s in good arms until katniss comes back.
